Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Technical Help Desk 3 role situated in Hanover, Maryland. The role primarily involves providing technical assistance to computer system users, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries. As a key member of our team, you will be tasked with ensuring smooth operations and improving our services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for computer system users, including software and hardware operation issues.

• Handle user inquiries, resolving problems in person, over the telephone, or from a remote location.

• Utilize command inputs to monitor system functions, verifying operations are correct and identifying potential errors.

• Maintain detailed records of daily data communication transactions, problem instances, and remedial actions taken.

• Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems, offering technical assistance and support as required.

• Proactively read technical manuals and confer with users to better understand and rectify issues.

• Manage time effectively to work independently and resolve customer issues promptly.

• Demonstrate basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

• Maintain knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.

• Stay current with computer software knowledge such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software, and internet directory services software. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service roles

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Capability to impart training to other team members

• Understanding of operations management

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Azure

• Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) administration would be beneficial

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Ability to utilize internet for research and problem-solving

• Experience in Deskside Support roles, resolving issues efficiently

• Knowledge of Configuration Management processes

• Understanding of different Operating Systems including Linux

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients

• Experience with Computer Systems and Desktop Hardware

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance

• Ability to maintain accurate records of all interactions

• Experience with Apple devices would be beneficial

• Proficiency in written communication to draft emails, reports, etc.

• Knowledge of Data Processing techniques

• Understanding of DNS (Domain Name System) and Circuit Boards

• Experience in resolving issues related to Computer System and Linux

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Desktop Hardware would be beneficial

• Experience in maintaining records and handling Computer Hardware

• Familiarity with Apple Devices and Written Communication is a plus
