We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Manufacturing industry. This role is located near Manhasset New York. As a Bookkeeper, you will be handling a variety of financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and performing office work. Your role will be vital in maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating smooth financial operations within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and receivable in an accurate and timely manner

• Manage payroll functions, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time

• Maintain accurate financial records for auditing purposes

• Assist with the collection process when necessary

• Review credit applications and make informed decisions

• Perform invoicing tasks regularly

• Scan checks and ensure they are deposited correctly

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate records

• Utilize various skills such as Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, and ADP - Payroll in everyday tasks

• Perform bookkeeping tasks regularly, including month-end close procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrated experience in Bookkeeping and Data Entry.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to perform Month End Close procedures.

• Experienced in Payroll processing, including for under 100 employees.

• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll and Acumatica systems.

• Experience in handling Cash Receipts and Cash Reconciliations.

• Ability to manage Check Runs and Collections.

• Experience in the machinery/work tools industry is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability.
