Robert Half Functional Business Analyst in Portland, Maine

Description

We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst to join a team in the Portland, Maine area. This role provides an opportunity for long-term contract employment within the financial industry. As a Functional Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in the transformation of the financial systems, offering technological solutions to minimize overhead costs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the transformation of financial systems to enhance scalability and efficiency

• Use your understanding of Oracle ERP and EPM to implement procurement and other financial strategies

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance within the financial department

• Create and maintain monthly reports including KPIs and other significant data points

• Utilize your financial and accounting knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the system

• Collaborate with fintech managers and system administrators to optimize existing platforms

• Assist in training new system users to ensure smooth transition and adaptation

• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the Oracle system

• Utilize your skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Financial Modeling to improve business processes

• Work independently to meet deadlines and objectives.

Requirements

• Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP& A)

• Extensive knowledge of financial modeling

• Experience with business systems

• Familiarity with auditing procedures

• Understanding of budget processes

• Proficiency in Oracle Cloud and Oracle software

• Experience with KPI reporting

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Relevant work experience as a Financial Business Analyst or similar role

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
