Description
We are in search of a Medical Customer Service Rep to join our team in the healthcare industry located in Portland, Maine. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. You will primarily be responsible for scheduling, coordinating with patients, and entering billing records from paper to our (EMR) system, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Having strong customer service skills while maintaining a calm demeanor
• Handle and manage backlogged medical records by entering them into the system.
• Maintain professional demeanor and presentation.
• Manage and organize paper filing and document management tasks.
• Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
Requirements
• Familiarity with EMR - Electronic Medical Records
• Ability to manage and handle Medical Records
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
