Description We are offering a role in the healthcare industry located in Portland, Maine, United States. The job function is that of a Medical Data Entry Clerk, and the employment type for this position is temporary. The role requires strong data entry skills, proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), and the ability to handle tasks such as scanning, filing, and shredding.

Responsibilities:

• Converting medical and billing records from paper to EMR system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Assisting in handling backlogged medical records and entering them into the system.

• Scanning, filing, and shredding of historical documents, maintaining a systematic and organized approach.

• Ensuring the proper organization and management of paper files and documents.

• Demonstrating professionalism and the ability to work independently with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Resolving queries related to medical records and data entry in a timely and efficient manner.

• Maintaining a supportive working environment, contributing to team efforts. Requirements • Proficiency in Data Entry tasks, including the accurate and efficient input of medical information.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and ability to navigate and use such systems effectively.

• Experience or willingness to learn scanning medical documents for digital storage.

• Ability to handle Filing tasks, ensuring all medical documents are systematically arranged for easy retrieval.

• Experience with Shredding sensitive medical documents in line with healthcare regulations and privacy policies.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing work processes and procedures.
