Robert Half Security Manager in Portland, Maine

Description

We are seeking an Information Security Officer to join our team in the Greater Portland Maine area. This role falls within the high-tech manufacturing industry and involves overseeing our cybersecurity program in compliance with various US Government requirements. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring cybersecurity compliance, coordinating with various stakeholders and teams, maintaining an acceptable information systems security posture, and addressing security incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cybersecurity program as per various US Government requirements

• Perform periodic self-inspections, tests, and reviews of information systems to ensure compliance

• Collaborate with program/project stakeholders, Cybersecurity staff, and other Security and IT team members to maintain an acceptable information systems security posture

• Conduct daily security posture and continuous monitoring of information systems including security event log review and analysis

• Perform Assessment and Authorization activities such as information system certification testing of required configuration controls and preparation/maintenance of various documentation

• Manage and maintain Continuous Monitoring reports and Plan of Action and Milestones reports

• Oversee security sustainment activities including hardware change management, software change management, account management, media protection, user interface, file transfers, etc

• Assist the Facility Security Officer, and Computer Incident Response Team in data spill incident response

• Maintain thorough understanding of NIST 800-53 controls, determine controls applicable to the application, and document control implementation

• Experience going through the ATO process

Requirements

• Proven experience in the field of information security

• Proficiency in Access Control systems and protocols

• Strong knowledge of Auditing principles and techniques

• Ability to create, maintain, and manage Documentation related to security protocols and incidents

• Familiarity with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines

• Experience with NIST 800-53 and CMMC security controls

• Understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
