Robert Half Accounting Manager in Portland, Oregon

Description

Robert Half Management Resources has an opportunity for a motivated Accounting Manager for a growing company in the Portland area. This is a 4-5 month project with the possibility for an extension. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting and related responsibilities. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.

  • Prepare Cash Flow Forecast and Plan data for certain accounts

  • Responsible for overseeing the company’s SAP General Ledger close; including review of journal entries, account analyses, Balance Sheet, P& L and Cash Flow Statement

  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers.

  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel.

  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.

  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes

  • Assists the general manager in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience with general ledger

  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Proven ability to meets accounting financial objectives

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Financial reporting experience
