Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an interim Accounting Manager for an innovative company in the Vancouver area. The Accounting Manager is responsible for day-to-day financial affairs of the organization. In addition, the Accounting Manager will provide financial analyses of operations. We are looking for an outgoing and hands-on individual who is looking to make an impact. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare or approve reconciliations for allocated balance sheet accounts, and other variance analysis, as required

  • Provide information to assist with the generation of the monthly financial statements and other financial reports for the month-end financial package

  • Lead month end and annual closing in order to provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

  • Maintain the ERP system including the monitoring of daily downloads

  • Exhibit knowledge of the Accounts Payable process and approve general ledger coding of invoices

  • Collaborate to plan objectives and develop an audit strategy that appropriately addresses risk.

  • Ensure that established accounting policies and procedures are adhered to and participate in the revision or development of policies, as required

  • Manage collections on outstanding accounts receivable and assist with the preparation of payroll.

  • Assist the with the preparation of payroll

  • Assist in the year-end audit and other Finance activities/projects including process improvement initiatives

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience required

  • CPA preferred

  • Management or supervisory experience

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a flexible and production orientated environment

  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Advance computer skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, email, internet and accounting software packages
