Description

Patricia Carlile with Robert Half Finance is looking for a talented accounting manager to work with a thriving company as an Accounting Manager. This is a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. If you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, you might be right for this position. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations will be essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants

  • Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Solid technology and analytical abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Proven knowledge of reconciliations

  • Strong familiarity with compliance

  • Comprehensive knowledge of supervising

  • Well-founded grasp of CPA

  • Audit Plans experience preferred

  • Experience with Monthly Close

  • Expertise in financial reporting

  • General familiarity with Government Grants

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Recent relevant financial experience
