Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Portland, Oregon


Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is offering a role for a meticulous and well-organized Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the bustling city of PORTLAND, Oregon. This role primarily involves the management of day-to-day accounting functions and the supervision of the Accounting operations team. You will be leveraging your extensive experience and understanding of the full cycle accounting process to ensure that the general ledger is accurately maintained and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles.


• Oversee and manage daily accounting functions and operations

• Supervise and provide guidance to accountants responsible for major accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition and Reconciliation, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and all other accounting processes.

• Guide the monthly financial close processes including reviewing and approving journal entries and supporting reports, closing subledgers, closing the period in the accounting system, and producing financial statements.

• Perform as Accounting Administrator for the accounting software, maintaining familiarity with other databases that are associated and interconnected with the accounting systems.

• Collaborate with the Data Manager to ensure that accounting codes are set up correctly in the accounting system to track organizational priorities and to create custom reports.

• Perform financial statement analysis in collaboration with the Budget Manager and assist with other areas of their work.

• Oversee accounting for management and administration of company credit cards, maintain and regularly update credit card request forms, file and secure credit card data. Track who has credit cards and their limit.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is beneficial

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions is advantageous

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions is essential

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed

• Skills in auditing are a must

• Experience in handling Billing Functions is preferred
