Robert Half OfficeTeam is looking for a skilled Insurance Verification Specialist to temporarily assist one of Portland's top healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience answering phones, verifying insurance, and working in healthcare. Your primary responsibility will be to verify insurance coverage and obtain appropriate insurance authorizations as needed.
You will be responsible for the verification, management, and collection of patient insurance.
Determine insurance eligibility and coverage limits
Obtain prior authorization for services
Enter charge and payment information for services rendered
Respond to inquiries from prospective, past and current patients via phone and email
Communicate with other departments as needed regarding visit information
Collect accurate demographic and insurance information
Help maintain patient accounts.
Insurance verification experience
EMR/EHR experience (Epic, Centricity, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in reproductive medicine preferred but not required
