We are in search of an Intake Coordinator to join our team in the health insurance industry, located in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our operations, managing patient referrals and scheduling, and ensuring a seamless intake process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage intake referrals from various sources and process them effectively using the EPIC system.

• Oversee the scheduling of initial appointments for patients.

• Respond to phone calls promptly, directing them to the relevant department or personnel.

• Collaborate with patients and doctor's offices to arrange and coordinate appointments.

• Assist with 'start of care' calls, gathering necessary registration information from patients.

• Exhibit outstanding customer service skills in all interactions.

• Maintain proficiency with typing and data entry tasks.

• Work independently, ensuring all responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

• Utilize your knowledge of Office Suite effectively in your daily tasks.

• Handle insurance authorization tasks as required.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or in the health insurance industry.

• Proficiency in using Epic EMR software for managing patient data.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare administration principles and practices.

• Excellent customer service skills, with a knack for understanding and addressing client needs.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Previous experience or familiarity with insurance authorization processes.
