Description

Patricia Carlile with Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join the team of one of her reputable clients. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. We are looking for a candidate that possesses excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the successful growth of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Engage in various department-wide initiatives

  • Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Must have excellent time management skills

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Job Cost experience

  • Adeptness in Construction Accounting

  • Ad Hoc Reporting experience

  • Experience with Oracle

  • Analysis experience preferred

  • Practical knowledge of account reconciliation

  • Solid understanding of Project Cost

  • General familiarity with billing

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
