Description
Patricia Carlile at Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Sr. Accountant with one of their reputable clients. Your tasks will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. High-level analytical skills are a must.
What you get to do every single day
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Requirements - Ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Current and relevant ERP system experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Year end closings experience highly preferred
Adeptness in licensing
General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting
Practical knowledge of month end closings
Good understanding of variance analysis
Cash management experience preferred
Financial reporting experience
Workers compensation experience highly desired
Background working with Fixed Asset Accounting
Solid understanding of general ledger
Earlier work involving Credit Card Reconciliation
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
