Description
Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To succeed in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Key responsibilities
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Requirements
Qualifications include:
• BSc/BA in Finance or Accounting
• 2-5 Years of experience in accounting or finance
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Must possess strong analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to collaborate with others and foster a positive team environment
