Description

Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking to bring on board a VP/Director of Finance in our team located in Portland, Oregon, United States. The individual will play a significant role in the solar industry, overseeing budget processes, and managing strategic financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance department to ensure smooth operations.

• Oversee and manage budget processes, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.

• Collaborate with the executive team to make strategic financial decisions that align with the company's goals.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

• Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.

• Maintain the financial health of the organization.

Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role such as VP/Director of Finance in a comparable organization

• Strong understanding and expertise in budget processes

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

• Exceptional financial and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail

• Advanced knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis

• Proficient in the use of financial software and applications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial staff

• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred

• Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus

• Adherence to personal and professional ethical standards

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions

• Proven negotiation skills with experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
