Responsibilities of the Inventory Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Expert analytical skills are essential to succeeding in this job. A full-time role, this position include excellent compensation and benefits. You will also have the possibility of growth.
Responsibilities
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Requirements
Inventory controls experience required
Foundational knowledge in Inventory Tracking
Comprehensive knowledge of Asset Inventory
Deep understanding of Inventory Planning
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems
Efficient in ERP systems- SAP
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Able to manage time well
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
3+ years of overall general accounting experience and inventory
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
