Description
The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department and manage the organization's financial reporting and operations. This role involves ensuring accurate month-end close processes, managing time and material billing, and maintaining the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in accounting, including previous management experience, and possess strong leadership and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities.
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and income statements.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the financial records.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
6+ years of experience in accounting, with a progression of responsibilities and a proven track record in financial management. This usually would involve at least five to seven years of experience.
Proficient with accounting software and knowledge of various financial systems.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of all the aspects of the current principles, practices, regulations, and procedures in accounting.
Leadership skills and experiences in managing a team of accountants or financial staff.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
