Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Princeton, New Jersey
Description
We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Princeton, New Jersey, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will encompass reviewing and processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely responses to all vendor inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Review and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other Accounting Software Systems.
• Execute weekly payment runs based on check signor’s availability.
• Maintain and update vendor master file for reporting requirements.
• Ensure all invoices and backups are properly saved and filed.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Accounts Payable procedures and policies.
• Conduct Vendor account reconciliation and Accounts Payable aging on a monthly basis.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all disbursements.
• Handle and resolve all external and internal vendor requests and inquiries via phone and email.
• Screen invoices to ensure any and all use tax liabilities’ are recorded.
• Assist with annual audits and various audit requests as and when required.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Experience with account coding and managing accounts payable (AP)
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
