Description
A National Consumer Products company in Princeton, NJ is looking for a Controller with solid General Ledger management ability and previous oversight of multiple plant/distribution locations. Qualified Controller candidates should have 10+ years of progressive career experience, strong knowledge of:
Inventory, including overstock, short stock, expired products, physical counts, and cases delivered.
Previous full oversight and management of General Ledger
Ability to create Financial Statements
Experience creating and delivering reports such as Actual to Budget and Variance Analysis skills.
Should be confident and comfortable completing full cycle month-end responsibilities for multiple warehouse locations.
Previous team management/leadership of accounting team
All candidates MUST have previous wholesale accounting knowledge.
Ability to travel quarterly travel for physical inventory (around 10% travel in total)

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation preferred.
Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial principles, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with financial reporting tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
