Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to be an integral part of our healthcare team based in Princeton, New Jersey. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, ideal for individuals aiming to build a career in the healthcare industry. The primary functions include processing medical billing, collaborating closely with various teams for data uniformity, and managing specific patient accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process medical billing to insurance organizations and patients.
• Collaborate effectively with different teams to ensure data quality and uniformity.
• Handle specific aspects of patient accounts, particularly in relation to billing and reimbursement.
• Submit accurate bills to insurance organizations and patients in a timely manner.
• Continuously monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit.
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all customer applications are processed efficiently.
• Participate in regular reviews of account details to ensure accuracy. Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of Medical Billing.
• Demonstrable skills in medical billing software and procedures.
• Ability to work with a team as well as independently when required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software, including MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.
• Problem-solving skills to resolve billing issues effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
• Ability to handle high volumes of work under tight deadlines.
