How you will make an impact
Aiding patients with paperwork
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Providing aid in the management of patient medical records
Greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Keep a record of various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, scanning, data entry, etc.
Efficiently responding to phone calls to maintain minimum rings and answering inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage Requirements
1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms in this position
1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems
High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Practical knowledge of Schedule Changes
Proficiency in Medical Insurance Verification
Well-founded grasp of Coordinating Schedules
Proven knowledge of medical billing
General familiarity with Schedule Appointments
Knowledge of Insurance Verifications
Patient Check-in experience preferred
Copays experience highly desired
Medical Front Office experience
