Robert Half Part-Time Bookkeeper in Princeton, New Jersey
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized individual to fill the role of a Bookkeeper in Princeton, New Jersey. This role involves maintaining financial records for client projects, creating projects, setting up billing schedules, invoicing, and reconciling revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Creating projects and setting up billing schedules in the ERP system based on client purchase orders and proposals
• Reviewing and posting revenue following GAAP recognition rules for all entities through the ERP system
• Generating sales invoices while ensuring all required information has been obtained per client requirements
• Posting invoices to client per client specifications, which may include submission through specific accounts payable portals
• Reviewing expense reports to ensure claims adhere to company and client policy
• Reconciling revenue, pre-bill and unbilled revenue items with the General Ledger system
• Running and distributing various ERP reports for distribution and action related to revenue recognition
• Preparing various weekly, monthly, and annual reports for Management and Audit purposes
• Gathering appropriate supporting documentation for external auditors to support invoicing and revenue recognition throughout the year
• Assisting with other project-related activities and ad hoc report generation as required by Management. Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Must have experience handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in data entry is required
• Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
