Description

We are seeking a meticulous Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the construction and contracting industry, located in Prosper, Texas. The role involves coordinating purchasing activities, compiling information, and ensuring compliance with contracts. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a challenging and rewarding environment to utilize and further develop your skills in purchasing and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and organize information related to sales and home construction

• Monitor and manage the printing of Purchase Orders (PO's)

• Ensure all buyer's selection sheets are accurately completed and all items are selected

• Conduct comparisons on base house costs and provide side-by-side comparisons to ensure accuracy

• Ensure all contracts are compliant with company standards and regulations

• Collaboratively work with a team of four other Purchasing Agents to support builders in the field

• Utilize various software systems, including NewStar (ERP), Microsoft Office, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and others to manage tasks and communicate with team members

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date

• Provide excellent customer service, promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues

• Leverage your skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, About Time, Buyer, Buying Processes, Component Selection, and Customer Service to effectively perform your role.

Requirements • Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and About Time software

• Experience as a Buyer and understanding of Buying Processes

• Capability in Component Selection within the construction industry

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Knowledge of the construction/contractor industry

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Willingness to continue learning and improving skills relevant to the job function.
