Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the accounting sector. This role is for a Property Accountant and is based in Providence, Rhode Island, 02903, United States. This position is primarily remote, providing the flexibility to work from your preferred location. As a Property Accountant, you will be tasked with various accounting functions related to property management.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Oversee budget processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor cash activity and rectify any discrepancies.
• Utilize Yardi Voyager for accounting operations and data management.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain financial records in compliance with company policies.
• Address and resolve any accounting inquiries from clients or internal teams.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
• Continually assess and implement process improvements for accounting operations.
• Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders as required. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in executing accounting functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Familiarity with budget processes and financial forecasting
• Ability to accurately track and report on cash activity
• Proficiency in using Yardi Voyager software for property accounting tasks
• Experience in preparing and making journal entries
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
