Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in Punta Gorda, Florida, for an experienced Bookkeeper. This role involves working in the finance industry, ensuring the smooth running of our accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities: • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts and ensure accuracy in the process. • Management of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Utilize Sage 300 for managing real estate and construction accounts. • Perform data entry tasks and maintain organized records. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks. • Ensure bookkeeping tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. • Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation.
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Knowledge and experience with Bank Reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Bookkeeping and Data Entry.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage 300 software.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of a High School diploma, associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on urgency.
• Must be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate results.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
