Assist in providing technical accounting guidance that aligns business objectives and complies with U.S. GAAP ? Assist in maintaining and updating accounting policies Position and Accountabilities: Accounting Guidance: ? Research accounting policy questions and assist in providing accounting guidance and advice to divisions and Corporate functions ? Assist in monitoring standards setting process and in implementing new accounting requirements ? Accounting policies: o Assist in updating/developing policies o Assist in maintaining policy website; act as Administrator and make updates to the website o Survey best practices Financial Reporting and Related Financial Control: ? Assist in preparation of Form 10-K and Forms 10-Q for filing with the SEC o Prepare assigned footnotes and related supporting work-papers including fluctuation analyses of key accounts o Prepare disclosure checklist for assigned disclosures o Maintain and apply related internal controls ? Prepare the quarterly Summary of Unrecorded Amounts (SAB 108 analysis) o Compile, understand and analyze drivers and impact of SAB 108 items on the company?s consolidated financial statements using the roll-over and iron-curtain methods ? Assisting in coordinating with the company?s external auditors on technical accounting matters ? Manage internal representation letter process o Coordination with divisions and other global functions o Appropriately drafting issues in representation letters System Economics and Business Fundamentals: ? Perform peer group benchmarking and analyze and present results ? Analyze financial results and trends Qualifications/Requirements Education/Certification: ? Bachelor?s degree in accounting ? CPA Work experience: ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting/auditing ? Ability to research and interpret technical areas of US GAAP Additional Preferred Education Experience: ?
