Description
Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. What you get to do every single day
Implement full-cycle A/P
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Requirements - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Proficiency in numeric data entry
Sage Timberline experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
