Robert Half is excited to announce a Systems Analyst/Architect specializing in Active Directory administration in Qunicy, Massachusetts:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to support our Microsoft Active Directory (AD) initiatives as part of our Enterprise Resiliency project. This role requires extensive experience with Active Directory, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large enterprise environments and will be able to work off-hour shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:

  • Provide expert support for Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, and Microsoft Server environments.

  • Implement and support security initiatives related to Active Directory.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate on engineering documentation, including requirements, engineering documents, and standard operating procedures.

  • Process Management:

  • Understand and follow ITIL processes, including CMDB and change controls.

  • Work within documented procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

  • Project Involvement:

  • Participate in large-scale projects as an AD or ADFS engineering resource.

  • Work across technology teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse set of team members and stakeholders.

  • Present technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Details:

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with weekend work possible for change implementations. EST time zone. Hybrid with 4 days onsite.

  • Contract Duration: The contract is until the end of September 2024.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in building and supporting Microsoft Active Directory in large enterprise environments.

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft ADFS.

  • Over 5 years of experience supporting various versions of Microsoft Server.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and methodology.

  • Proven experience working in regulated environments and understanding ITIL processes.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of DNS and WINS.

  • Experience with security initiatives related to Active Directory.

  • Ability to create and collaborate on engineering documentation.

  • Soft Skills:

  • High level of self-motivation and positive attitude towards learning.

  • Ability to work off-hour shifts during change windows (nights, weekends).

  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional Skills:

  • Positive attitude toward learning new technical and non-technical skills.

  • Ability to work across technology teams when required.

  • Strong familiarity with Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
