Robert Half Medical Data Entry Clerk in Racine, Wisconsin

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk in Racine, Wisconsin. This role is within the healthcare industry, where you'll be expected to manage data entry tasks associated with medical records and other health-related information. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment that necessitates strong data entry skills, an understanding of medical terminology, and proficiency in a variety of data management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient data entry of medical information into the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) and other EHR systems.

• Utilize IBM AS/400 and McKesson systems for data processing and management.

• Regular use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.

• Handle various billing functions and claim administration tasks.

• Provide excellent customer service, resolving any inquiries related to data entry or medical records.

• Maintain thorough documentation of all data entry tasks and processes.

• Ensure all data is entered in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as industry best practices.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all systems.

• Continually update skills and knowledge in data entry and medical terminology to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in using the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA)

• Familiarity with the EHR SYSTEM

• Experience with IBM AS/400

• Skilled in using McKesson

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Proven track record in Data Entry

• Ability to handle Documentation tasks effectively

• Experience in a medical data entry role is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations is advantageous.
