Description
Robert Half has partnered with a successful client within the property management industry on their search for a Property Accountant. As the Property Accountant, you will manage all accounting transactions, assist with journal entry preparation, analyze leasing costs, review market lease reconciliations, perform accounting analysis, review and approve vendor invoices, assist with the year-end financial audit process, prepare monthly bank reconciliations, review and maintain property budget, and assist with annual entity tax returns. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, experience with real estate accounting software, and advanced financial analysis skills.

· Prepare financial statements
· Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
· Review and approve invoices
· Analyze and document loan activity
· Perform CAM reconciliation
· Support and facilitate the auditing process
· Prepare property projections
· Assist with cash flow analysis
· Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
Requirements
The ideal Property Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Property Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 3+ year of cost accounting experience
· Property Management/Real Estate industry experience preferred
· MRI experience a plus
· Strong GAAP knowledge
