Description
Leading distributor located within the Greater Philadelphia Suburbs seeks a Senior Technical & Reporting Accountant with proven IFRS experience. In this role, the Senior Technical & Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting while providing insight into technical accounting inquiries and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the company. This candidate will also provide IFRS technical intelligence, prepare monthly/quarterly reports, monitor cash flow, maintain internal controls compliance, identify control weaknesses or gaps, research and interpret accounting standards, and provide guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions. The ideal candidate for this Senior Technical & Reporting Accountant role should have experience using SAP ERP systems.
This company works on a Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite; 2 days remote
Responsibilities
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Requirements
The ideal Senior Technical & Reporting Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Other requirements for the Senior Technical & Reporting Accountant role include and are not limited to:
Active CPA required
3+ years public and/or corporate accounting experience
IFRS experience highly preferred
Reporting and technical focused experience
Strong GAAP experience a MUST
