Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Content Editor in the Non-Profit industry based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Content Editor, you will be primarily responsible for managing and editing web content, reviewing and approving content for publication, and assisting in the production of our weekly employee newsletter.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing and addressing daily web tickets
• Producing and distributing the weekly employee newsletter
• Handling the majority of website work on the intranet
• Reviewing and editing content using Drupal CMS
• Approving content for publication after ensuring grammar and style accuracy
• Utilizing skills in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe InDesign
• Applying Assertion Markup Language and C - All Versions for various tasks
• Creating and editing digital advertisements
• Engaging in blogging and copy editing activities
• Handling other tasks related to digital content management.
Requirements
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe InDesign.
• Familiarity with Assertion Markup Language and C - All Versions.
• Experience in creating and editing advertisements.
• Knowledge of AP Style.
• Experience with blogging and copy editing.
• Understanding of digital content creation and editing.
• Prior experience in a non-profit environment is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
