Robert Half Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Description

We are currently seeking a critical thinking, high energy Manager of FP& A to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have superb financial skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role, although individual contributor, will be responsible for overseeing key areas and functions in the company.

Responsibilities:

Manage maintenance of monthly reporting and preparation of monthly updates including comprehensive market performance analysis for Marketing and Trade investments versus plans and prior year for Local and Regional Management.

In collaboration with the accounting department and global services center, ensure the correct and timely closure of monthly accounts.

Interpret data, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to support business decision-making activities.

Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts for all planning cycles along with plan-to-plan variance analysis.

Collaborate with other departments to collect all necessary data to create new forecasts or make revisions to existing ones.

Perform comprehensive profitability analysis for new business accounts, territories, and promotional rates.

Support Marketing and Sales teams by providing financial evaluations of all their business initiatives and preparing financial back-ups for internal approval processes.

Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and implement return on investment measures, helping to prioritize initiatives within the budget.

Prepare backup for additional budget requests to the regional management, as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Proven work experience as an FP& A manager or similar role.

Extensive experience in preparing financial forecasts, analysis, and budgeting.

Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.

Attention to detail and accuracy.
