Description
Robert Half’s client is an industry leader, boasting an impressive portfolio and a substantial presence in their sector. They are currently in search of an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.
Position Summary: The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position will have a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with strong analytical abilities and professional ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial reports
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
Ensure accurate and timely financial statements
Manage the general ledger and assist with financial reporting
Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits.
Review Accounts Receivable aging monthly.
Ensure fixed asset invoices are applied to capital projects appropriately, set up new capital projects and close capital projects timely, and prepare capital budget.
Prepare and review monthly intercompany transactions for revenue and expense items.
Prepare and/or review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including Cash, Accounts Receivable, Suspense, Prepaids, etc.
Perform departmental expense reviews and monthly variance analysis, identifying and recording necessary reclasses when required.
Support departmental budgeting and forecasting activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting or related field.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
CPA designation is a plus but not required.
