Description
Robert Half is looking for a System Administrator that manages all aspects of enterprise infrastructure including servers, software, monitoring systems, storage technologies, power management, patch and asset management. They will also assists in capacity planning, procurement and management of support requirements for critical business systems; software, equipment maintenance, external service and vendor evaluations.
Principal Responsibilities And Essential Duties
Manage all aspects of enterprise infrastructure including servers, software, monitoring systems, storage technologies, power management, patch and asset management
Assist in capacity planning, procurement and management of support requirements for critical business systems; software, equipment maintenance, external service and vendor evaluations
Recommend, implement and assure compliance with policy and procedures affecting enterprise technology infrastructure
Assist in development, maintenance and testing of contingency plans, hardware maintenance and lifecycle planning for the corporate software, hardware and networking assets
Ensure constant and effective communications with internal/external customers, internal resources, partners and outside agencies
Build, maintain and monitor overall Enterprise VDI environment
Assign applications via AD Group membership
Review and Maintain AD environments at the latest security posture
AD layout and configuration maintenance to Industry standards and best practices
Remediate app/package installations
Interface with business and users globally to collect and document application requirements
Work with business, users, and application owners globally to determine installation details
Participate in the setting of objectives, strategies, plans, programs, performance standards/measures and procedures, as a member of the IT team
Provide input and assistance to other IT projects

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in IT systems management and monitoring - including VMWare and VDI administration
Industry specific certifications - VCP, MCSE, Citrix Certified detail oriented etc. - desirable
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies; Server OS, Desktop OS, Active Directory, Office365, Group Policy
In depth knowledge of Active Directory design, configuration, and architecture
Advanced experience with VMware technologies; vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, Storage vMotion, SRM
Advanced experience with different storage technologies; Dell EMC VMAX, VNX, XtremeIO, Hitachi and HP Storage arrays
Experience with multiple server hardware vendors; Cisco, HP, Dell
Experience with management and monitoring tools; ManageEngine, Solarwinds, Nagios, Splunk
Experience with healthcare organizations is a plus
Knowledge of ITIL principles and experience operating within an IT function governed by ITIL processes
Knowledge of information security standards and best practices, including system hardening, access control, identity management and network security, ITIL Process
Experience with HIPAA a plus
Positive attitude, ability to work in a distributed team environment and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills with strong customer service orientation
Successful documentation skills and abilities to write the documentation in a format that non-technical team members can understand easily
