Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Ramsey, New Jersey

Description We are in search of an Administrative Assistant within the automotive industry, based in Ramsey, New Jersey. This role will be pivotal in transitioning our warehouse operations from manual processes to computerized systems, starting with close collaboration with the QC department and leading into office-based tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the QC department to ensure a smooth execution of serial number and warranty card processes

• Oversee the initiation and management of serial numbers and warranty cards until the integration of computer systems in the warehouse

• Work in a warehouse environment, adhering to physical demands and safety protocols

• Assist in the setup and testing of computer systems in the warehouse, providing support during the transition period

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to warehouse operations and transition activities

• Train warehouse staff on new computer systems and processes as needed

• Transition into office-based duties, including order and quote entry, as directed by management

• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency across departments

• Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities as the company evolves and grows

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

• Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls, and schedule appointments

• Strong customer service skills

• Experience in data entry and email correspondence Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably within the Automotive industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Proven ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars

• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience with email correspondence, drafting and responding to emails in a timely manner

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as required by the role
