Robert Half Assistant Controller in Rancho Cucamonga, California
Description We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Controller in our Aerospace division located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The role entails being a business partner in the implementation of the financial direction and strategies for our operations, ensuring all financial statements, reports, and taxes are prepared timely and accurately according to corporate policies, accounting principles, and applicable regulations and laws.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the monthly general ledger closing and reconciliation process
• Assist in the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for the location
• Spearhead the completion of monthly financial control procedures to meet audit requirements
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting, forecasting, and planning for the location
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and promote the sharing of best practices
• Provide support for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditors as needed
• Assist in the development of tools and reports to facilitate financial, commercial, and operational improvements
• Lead the development of tools and reports to help operations meet the financial plan
• Ensure strict adherence to code of conduct and corporate policy
• Foster an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectations Requirements • Proficient in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting
• Experience with Annual Inventory and Annual Physical Inventory management
• Familiarity with Asset Inventory, Equipment Inventory, and Fixed Asset Inventory
• Proficient in Inventory Analysis, Inventory Audits, and Inventory Controls
• Experience with Inventory Extensions, Inventory Investment, and Inventory Management
• Skilled in Inventory Planning and Inventory Planning & Reporting
• Proficient in Inventory Reconciliation, Inventory Records, and Inventory Reports
• Experience with Inventory Reserves, Inventory Targets, and Inventory Tracking
• Familiarity with Inventory Transaction, Inventory Turnover, and Inventory Valuation
• Proficient in managing Inventory Variance
• Previous experience in the Aerospace industry is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
