Robert Half Credit/ Collections Supervisor/Manager in Rancho Dominguez, California
Description We are seeking a diligent Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team based in Rancho Dominguez, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the transport industry, tasked with overseeing all aspects of credit accounts. This job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of credit accounts, including the establishment of new accounts and monitoring of existing ones.
• Ensure effective communication with sales teams to resolve accounts with over limits or deteriorating credit scores.
• Review applications for new lines of credit and credit limit increases, ensuring the creditworthiness of applicants.
• Liaise with insurance companies for credit limit requests and handle any arising issues.
• Monitor accounts for delinquencies or other issues that may require additional attention from Collection Specialists.
• Manage collections on Key Accounts.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documents related to the Credit Department’s activities.
• Collaborate with collection agencies and insurance companies on delinquency accounts.
• Execute other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a credit/collections supervisory or managerial role within the Transport industry
• Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, and ADP - Financial Services
• Demonstrable experience in B2B collections and CRM
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Billing Functions, Cash Activity, and Cash Applications
• Ability to Approve Credit and work with Accrediting Agencies
• Deep understanding of Credit, Credit - Collections, Credit - Commercial, Credit - Consumer, and Credit - Skip Tracing
• Experience in Credit Administration, Credit Agreement, Credit Analysis, Credit Application, and Credit Approvals
• Ability to make Credit Decisions and work within a Credit Department
• Knowledge of Credit Exposure, Credit Files, Credit Hold, Credit Investigations, and Credit Limit
• Understanding of Credit limits and losses, and Credit Policies & Procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
