Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Kent, Ohio, United States. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records within the manufacturing industry, conducting thorough financial analyses, and contributing to the improvement of our accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance of Bill of Materials and Routings across multiple manufacturing plants
• Conduct regular analyses of PPV variances and LCM and E& O reserves, providing insightful recommendations
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly cycle counts and bi-annual physical inventory results
• Prepare comprehensive margin review analyses and provide recommendations to the Sales Department
• Contribute to the enhancement of labor and overhead rate analysis and drivers
• Support the Sales and Purchasing Departments with forecasting and production requirements
• Manage the reconciliation of all Intercompany transactions between plants
• Participate in the month-end close process and support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Recommend improvements to the current accounting systems to optimize the processing of financial information
• Undertake special projects as directed by senior finance personnel.
Requirements
• Manufacturing Industry Experience
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions
• Auditing skills
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Capability to manage Cash Activity
• Proficiency in Cost Accounting
• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Knowledge of Standard Cost Accounting
