Description

Our client out of the property management industry is currently searching for an entry level staff accountant to join their growing team. As a Staff Accountant, you will manage accounting for a subset of properties and perform various financial tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of accounting for a subset of properties

• Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary adjustments

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process

• Monitor and rectify any discrepancies in financial reports

• Adhere to accounting best practices and company protocols

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Strong Excel Comfortability

• Knowledge of real estate industry and property management is a plus

• Familiarity with accounting software and principles.
