Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our corporate office. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in a variety of accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle Accounts Payable tasks such as opening mail, coding and posting invoices, running checks weekly, and dispatching them to vendors.

• Oversee Accounts Receivable duties including billing, cash application, and collections.

• Manage Cash flow by depositing checks, tracking cash flow, and performing bank reconciliations.

• Administer Fixed Assets by managing company assets and calculating monthly depreciation.

• Perform General Ledger tasks such as creating and posting journal entries, analyzing and reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements.

• Prepare tax returns including Property tax, 1099s, and Sales Tax.

• Utilize computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, for creating and maintaining spreadsheets with functions such as copying, pasting, creating formulas, sorting, formatting, linking, and printing. Experience with Word, Outlook, Sage Accounting is also beneficial.

• Exhibit excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

• Work independently as well as part of a team.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments accurately and timely.

• Communicate professionally and calmly with external customers, vendors, and all levels of internal staff, both in writing and verbally. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is necessary.

• Prior experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is expected.

• The ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) tasks efficiently is a must.

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the finance team.

• The candidate should exhibit high levels of integrity and trustworthiness.

• Good problem-solving skills to handle any accounting discrepancies.

• The capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is necessary.

• The candidate should have excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information is crucial.
