Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Reedsville, Pennsylvania

Description

Fast growing Manufactuing company seeking Director of Finance to join a team in Reedsville, Pennsylvania. This role is crucial to our operations within the industrial hardwood flooring manufacturing sector. The Director of Finance will be the lead for the company's financial activities, including managing accounting and financial reporting functions, and supporting overall operations with financial analysis and data interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's daily general accounting practices and procedures, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

• Manage the preparation of general ledger postings, including month-end and year-end closings.

• Administer payroll reporting, 401k funding, and employee benefit administration, ensuring all financial obligations to employees are met.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including the calculation of financial covenants, borrowing base, and management discussion and analysis (MD& A).

• Lead the budget preparation and forecasting process, providing strategic financial guidance for the company.

• Prepare quarterly presentations for the Board, presenting financial performance and projections.

• Manage banking relationships, including reconciliations, covenant compliance and reporting.

• Oversee tax preparation and annual audits, working closely with accountants to ensure compliance.

• Analyze capital expenditure (capex) project justifications with the leadership team, providing insights and recommendations.

• Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, driving financial strategy and performance optimization

Requirements

§ Progressive work experience, preferably 10 years or more, in finance and/or accounting functions with prior experience working in a leveraged environment a plus.

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required with a preference for an MBA and/or CPA.

§ Proven analytical skills with a strategic outlook.

§ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively distill relevant information to the management, board members, lenders, and other external stakeholders.

§ High level of personal motivation with a willingness to take a hands-on approach in a collaborative culture.
