Community Relations Program Coordinator (Contract Talent)




Robert Half's Community Relations team is responsible for our company's global giving and volunteering initiatives, and works closely with our Employee Experience and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams in Human Resources. The Community Relations Program Coordinator will be responsible for several functions that support the Community Relations team, with a primary focus on the company's Matching Gifts program.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for Matching Gifts and assisting with corporate grants, as well as supporting our volunteer programs and other parts of our community relations program.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent project and time management and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Be involved with the launch efforts and continued support of the Matching Gifts program both domestically and globally.

  • Be responsible for the platform interface and working with the vendor as needed.

  • Support internal clients with capturing fundraising and volunteer activities by setting up activities in the system.

  • Work closely with the Community Relations Program Specialist to make changes to the platform, run reports and answer questions during the transition.

  • Support new users and facilitate adding new organizations to the vendor platform.

  • Additional responsibilities include researching new charities, approving all matching gifts requests in accordance with our giving guidelines, and escalating questionable entries.

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions and run regular reports.

  • Attend quarterly Grants Committee meetings, process payment requests and communicate with nonprofits as needed.

  • Request appropriate paperwork for payment as needed.

  • Be responsible for monitoring the Community Relations email box as well as providing support for quarterly outreach programs, such as our annual Suit Drive and Holiday Giving initiatives.

  • Help set up fundraising and volunteer activities for our ENGs in the Matching Gifts platform; assist with vetting new charities; keep our DEI program charities updated; and provide communication templates for activity invitations and reminders as needed.


  • AA required, BA/BS preferred

  • 2+ years experience in HR, Community Relations or related field.

  • Outstanding judgment and interpersonal skills.

  • Must communicate effectively and persuasively with all levels of the organization.

  • Detailed and customer-service oriented; works well in team environment.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and demonstrates creativity, flexibility and proactive approach to work; strong analytic and problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); SharePoint experience a plus. Experience with Workday or similar payment system a plus.
