Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and accounting is recruiting to fill a direct hire Accountant position for a growing development company in Reno. The Accountant will be a part of a strong team and have the opportunity to learn and grow through a variety of interesting work. Initially the role will be responsible for tasks including bank deposits, credit card reconciliations, account reconciliations, journal entries, month end close, W-9 support, etc. Over time, the person in this role will have the opportunity to grow into a Senior Accountant position. This position is open due to promotions in the department!

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of accounting experience in the areas listed above, a BS Degree in Accounting from a respected university, and at least intermediate Excel skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - at least intermediate level

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and accounting best practices.
