Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Associate in the transport industry, based in Reno, Nevada. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of administrative duties, providing essential support to the sales floor, and ensuring smooth operations within the logistics department.
Responsibilities:
• Handle administrative tasks such as document scanning and filing to maintain organized records.
• Provide prompt and effective support to the sales floor to streamline operations.
• Engage in light data entry tasks to keep customer and logistics data updated.
• Utilize excellent people skills to communicate effectively via phones and emails.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines and goals.
• Employ strong thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions. Requirements • Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Prior experience in the transport or logistics industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in document scanning and filing is mandatory.
• Familiarity with logistics software or transport management systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Understanding of safety regulations within the transport industry is beneficial.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
