Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Tax Manager role for a local CPA firm. The person in this role will have responsibilities including:
• Facilitate and manage the preparation, review and accurate, timely filing of all federal and state tax forms for individuals, partnerships and corporations
• Provide quality tax planning and practical approaches to clients’ particular tax needs and situation.
• Manage tax work/review returns of staff
• Prepare complex income tax returns
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
• Supervise and provide assistance to tax staff.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Master's degree in Accounting Preferred
• CPA certification required
• 5 - 7+ Years of current experience in a public accounting firm
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and research skills
The ideal situation is for this person to start as a Manager and progress to partnership. • Proficient in preparing and filing Individual Tax Returns
• Proficient in preparing and filing Corporate Tax Returns
• Proficient in preparing and filing Partnership Tax Returns
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the use of tax software and applications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
• Experience with tax planning and strategy implementation is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
