Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is assisting an established and well respected local CPA firm with their search for a Tax Senior. The firm offers a challenging, collaborative, and rewarding work environment including, but not limited to flexible working hours, a relaxed but professional work atmosphere, and growth opportunities. The firm specializes in income tax preparation, planning, and related services for high income and high net worth clientele in the Reno/Tahoe area. This is potentially a partner track position with opportunity for career and compensation advancement. The firm focuses on complex individual, trust, estate, and business tax work. Familiarity with ProSystemFX Tax is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities will include reviewing and preparing complex trust, estate, individual, and business tax returns as well as tax research, comprehensive tax planning, financial statement reporting engagements, and managing client relationships and communication.

In summary:

*Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations

*Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent tax planning, consulting, and expertise

*Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns

*Identify and mitigate tax risks

*Mentor junior staff and assess their performance

*Manage tax provision and tax compliance process

*Improve processes by developing and/or implementing best practices

*Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification highly desirable.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public CPA firm.

• Proficiency in using CCH Prosystem, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Compliance.

• Expertise in CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Planning and CCH ProSystem fx - International Tax.

• Experience in preparing complex tax returns, consolidated tax returns, and corporate tax returns.

• Familiarity with federal income tax return and federal tax return processes.

• Ability to handle income tax return and individual tax return tasks.

• Experience in managing multi-state tax returns.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.

• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
