Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in Renton, Washington, United States. The selected candidate will manage and oversee the accounting tasks for various projects, with a focus on using Spectrum Software (Viewpoint) for financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Use Spectrum software to manage project financials, including setting up cost codes and billing.

• Ensure accurate tracking of project expenditures.

• Handle project invoices, checking for accuracy and compliance with contracts and payment terms.

• Contribute to project budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to keep projects within budget and scope.

• Prepare monthly project reports such as Profit & Loss statements, cost projections, and variance analysis.

• Collaborate with project managers to allocate project costs and expenses accurately.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and project-related audits, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

• Uphold compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Manage subcontractor agreements, change orders, and progress billing.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to project accounting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Costpoint

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Specialization in Project Accounting

• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum software
