Robert Half Staff Accountant in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant role in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This position involves a variety of accounting duties, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and other financial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Processing and managing accounts payable and receivable
• Conducting bank reconciliations on a regular basis
• Keeping up-to-date and accurate records in the general ledger
• Preparing and posting journal entries as needed
• Assisting with month-end close processes and procedures
• Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Participating in the implementation of new software or platforms to improve accounting operations
• Collaborating with the accounting team to maintain financial integrity
• Addressing and resolving any accounting issues or discrepancies
• Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting operations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, or similar role within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry
• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
